Kamehameha Schools to Redevelop Mō‘ili‘ili Property

Kamehameha Schools will redevelop and modernize property in Moiliili as part of the initial phase of its Kapaakea redevelopment, the trust recently announced.

According to a June 19 announcement, this first phase of redevelopment will "focus on improving community gathering and retail experience" along two blocks bordered by University Avenue and South Beretania and Coyne streets.

Dubbed Waianuenue, the project encompasses the Varsity Center, the East-West Building, 2325 Coyne St. and the surrounding parking lots. Future work will include renovating the Varsity office building to expand the Ka Waiwai community space and developing the Puck's Alley blocks, the announcement noted.
